A former French minister, Luc Chatel co-founded Odyssey Education to extend his commitment to education. He has served as President of the group since 2020.

Luc Chatel began his career at L’Oréal, where he was Director of Human Resources. Between 1998 and 2017, he held several elective and governmental positions in France: Minister of National Education, Secretary of State for Industry, Government Spokesman, Member of Parliament and Mayor. Since 2017, Luc Chatel has also been President of the Plateforme Automobile (French automotive industry federation). In keeping with his commitment to transmission and the promotion of excellence, he now chairs the COET-MOF, the committee responsible for organizing the “One of the Best Craftsmen of France” competition.

Luc Chatel is a Knight in the Order of the Legion of Honor and Commander of the Academic Palms.
