Community Odyssey : a summer book for students

For the summer vacations, the students of the Odyssée elementary schools were offered a beautiful book for the summer!

A companion to adventures, this illustrated book “for life” – adapted to the age of the children (kindergarten, 5th grade, 9th grade) – incorporates a QR Code linking to a series of cultural activities for parents and children.

We chose Homer’s Odyssey, which tells the story of Odysseus and his legendary journey.

The Odyssey is the story of a man, Odysseus, who is a deeply human hero, who returns home after 20 years of a long journey of fantastic adventures from which he emerges victorious thanks to his courage, his intelligence, his pugnacity, his curiosity of others… educational values that we carry.

Accompanied by a Padlet containing cultural and historical resources, films, cartoons, documentaries and even a quiz in French and English, we hope that this book will encourage personal reading and many moments of family sharing!
